Everyone Treats the Pain.
Nobody Breaks the Cycle.
When your calf and Achilles shorten from injury or imbalance, they pull your plantar fascia taut, like stretching a rubber band to its limit.
While you rest, the whole chain tightens. When you stand, you put load on tissue that can't give. And pain comes roaring back every time.
Why most treatments can't break it
Cortisone calms the flare-up, not the pull.
Stretching doesn't release the deep calf.
Orthotics support the arch, not the chain.
Breaking the cycle means treating the tissue, not the pain.

Common Questions
How many sessions will I need for plantar fasciitis?
Most clients notice meaningful improvement within 1-3 sessions, but that's the beginning of the process, not the end. Your body didn't get here overnight and it won't heal overnight either. The overall average is 5-6 sessions. Chronic or long-standing plantar fasciitis typically requires more. We recommend weekly visits until your pain subsides, then we space sessions out as your body holds the results longer. This is a healing process. Each session compounds on the last.
How long does plantar fasciitis relief last?
Relief builds with each session. Early on, you may feel better for several days, but the muscles will want to return to their old patterns. As the muscles retrain to their proper length, the relief holds longer between sessions. Once that happens, we space out your visits to reinforce the results. Many clients transition to monthly maintenance. If you stay active and follow the recommended stretches, the results are long-lasting because we're correcting the pattern that caused the pain, not masking symptoms.
Does TheraMax therapy hurt?
No. In fact, we focus on the muscle imbalances causing your pain, not the pain area itself. Your plantar fasciitis may show up in your heel or arch, but the source is often tight, shortened tissue in your calf and foot that's pulling on the plantar fascia. The pressure is gentle, computer-controlled, and adjusted to your comfort in real time. After the first few minutes, you get the feel of the therapy and most people honestly enjoy it. Many clients find it so relaxing they fall asleep.
Do you take insurance?
Insurance reimburses 15 minute sessions and limits treatment to the area that hurts. That's not how lasting results happen. To actually resolve your pain, we need longer sessions and the freedom to address root imbalances, not just symptoms. We made the difficult choice to stay cash pay so we can treat you properly. We accept cash, credit cards, HSA, and FSA.
If the problem is my calf, why does my heel hurt?
Your calf, Achilles, and plantar fascia are one continuous chain. When the calf tightens, it pulls tension down through the Achilles into the fascia at your heel. That attachment point takes the most stress, which is why the heel is where you feel it. Most treatments focus there because that's where it hurts. But the tension driving it starts higher up. That's why we treat the full chain, not just the point of pain.
How is TheraMax different from a foam roller or massage gun?
A foam roller presses the surface of the muscle against bone. A massage gun pulses the outer layer of tissue. Both can help temporarily, but the calf is deep and layered. Neither tool can sustain the pressure needed to get the deeper muscle to actually release. TheraMax applies targeted pressure in cycles over 15 to 20 minutes per area, reaching depths that hands, rollers, and percussion devices can't. That's what gets the tissue to finally let go.
